1)She is accepting new families who are expecting a new baby preferring to meet you while you are pregnant or planning an adopting.
2)She is accepting older families (beyond pregnancy) who desire her philosophies.
She prefers new patients who are interested in VIP care. She makes a commitment of high, but flexible standards and electronic availability to you and highly appreciates your commitment in return.
3)She is accepting a limited amount of Medicare and Medicare replacement HMO patients.
4)She is taking consults for:
breastfeeding (including tongue-tie/frenotomy, adoption)

2nd opinion regarding vaccines
or other unusual situations.
These consult appointments are usually focused, one-time (or two-time) consults. At the time of consult Dr. Punger will discuss with you appropriate follow-up with her or your PCP. Depending on volume she may be able to accept you for continuity and on-going care if you desire.

Phone Consults:
Because there are few providers nationwide with an understanding of breastfeeding, Dr. Punger may be able to accomodate those who live beyond driving distance (greater than 2 hours) and as time allows. For long distance phone consults, it is most helpful if you send us an e-mail describing your situation.
Dr. Punger can review your history and give you an option of a one time phone call or ongoing assistance. Insurance does not cover phone consults. Calls may range from $50 for straight-forward complexity on up.
Arrangements for on-going e-mail access for established patients with an annual fee can be arranged by request. Click here for more info.
If you feel that you have a REAL EMERGENCY Call 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY. If you have a health care related problem when the office is closed, call the office number. The answering service will pick-up and have the doctor on call return your call. Stay by your phone, keeping the line clear, so the doctor can contact you promptly. Trying to contact us at home may delay prompt medical attention if the doctor contacted is not home or not on call. We ask you to hold all issues that are not related to direct medical care until the following business day. E-mail is not a reliable way to get in touch with us for emergencies or urgent problems.
